Lithuania’s Eurovizijos Returns With First Show!


edgaras lubys eurovision 2017 lithuaniaLithuania’s selection show Eurovizijos was possibly one of the most complicated selection shows of the 2016 season, with the show being split into singers who had submitted songs and singers without songs but who wanted to be considered as the artist for the nation. Last night Eurovizijos returned and it seems to be more streamlined, or at least easier to follow.

Twelve acts competed in the first of the four preliminary shows which aired last night on broadcasting channel LRT. Of the twelve competing songs, six advanced to the next round. Finishing on top was Edgaras Lubys whose song ‘Could It Be?’ impressed the jury, coming out on top with them and finished second in the televote.

Finishing in second overall was fan favourite Sasha Song with ‘Never Felt Like This Before’. Not making the cut was ‘Shine Like Gold’ which had been penned by former Fame Academy winner David Sneddon. Find the full list of results below:

Eurovizijos will return with its second show next week, where another thirteen songs will be vying for one of the six places in the next round. You can catch it on LRT’s website from 8pm CET.
