Our favourite Irish Eurovision twins Jedward have made a jepic return to the Celebrity Big Brother this weekend for the show’s nineteenth season which pits All Stars against New Stars.
John and Edward didn’t get off to the best of starts when Edward revealed that he had injured himself in a fall as the pair entered the house on Friday night. Since then Edward has had to separate from John to visit the hospital for medical attention. Edward was however well enough to rejoin his brother in the house later that evening. The twins received a mixed reception on their entrance with many cheering them on, but with a smattering of boos and negative chants from the audience as well.
Jedward are joined in the house by past CBB contestants Calum Best, Hills stars Heidi Monatg and Spencer Pratt, Strictly dancer James Jordan, Loose Woman Coleen Nolan and a host of new stars that include Kim Kardashian’s ex Ray J, footballer Jamie O’Hara, X-Factor USA singer Stacy Francis and Game of Thrones actor James Cosmo, who in the first twist of the series was rendered the first contestant to be ‘edited out’ of the show by the All Stars.
Over the course of the first few days, Bianca, Brandon, Ray J and Stacy joined James Cosmo as edited out housemates and in a second twist Angie and Jamie had to save all but one these housemates, leaving the remaining housemate as the one who would automatically face the first public vote eviction. They saved everyone but James.
Jedward represented Ireland on two consecutive occasion at Eurovision in 2011 and 2012 and have given Ireland their best Eurovision result in recent years qualifying for the final on both occasions with ‘Lipstick’ and ‘Waterline’. Jedward have also released a number of new singles in 2016, including three which charted in our top 30 songs of 2016; ‘Hologram’ (#9), ‘Good Vibes’ (#21) and ‘The Hope Song’ (#27).
