Last week Montenegro revealed that Slavko Kalezic would represent the nation at Eurovision 2017. Soon after being chosen, the singer took to social media to admit that he had not been the broadcaster’s first choice.
Tweeting on 30th December, Slavko stated that ‘I have to say that I wasn’t the first choice for Montengro.’ The X-Factor Adria singer who has had hits with songs such as ‘Oro’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Krivac’ went on to comment that another artist had been chosen to represent Montenegro but later withdrew from the honour.
While the Podgorica native doesn’t name any names, we for one are glad that the other artist withdrew from Eurovision. Slavko seems to be the perfect fit for the Contest and we cannot wait for him to reveal his song ‘Space’ in due course.
