ERR Reveal Participants for Eesti Laul 2017

eesti laul Estonia Eurovision 2017Eesti Laul is the Estonian national selection show for Eurovision. Today the national broadcaster ERR unveiled the acts that would be competing in this year’s show on ETV show ‘Ringvaade’ (‘Round Up’). Read on to find out who is on the list.

The competition will be contested over two semi finals which will be broadcast live on 11th and 18th February with five songs from each final progressing to the final on 4th March 2017. The songs qualifying for the final will be decided by a combination of an expert jury vote and a public televote.

Last year’s contest was won by Juri Pootsmann and his song ‘Play’ which failed to qualify for the Eurovision final. The song was written by Eesti Laul’s winner from the year before Stig Rasta who represented Estonia in Eurovision 2015 alongside Elina Born with ‘Goodbye to Yesterday’.

Elina Born will return to compete at Eesti Laul in 2017 with a song called ‘In or Out’, penned by Stig Rasta. Other familiar names include former Estonian Eurovision entrants Rasmus Rändvee (2013), Liis Lemsalu (2012) and Ivo Linna (1996).
