Murcia. Hellín. Albacete. Villarrobledo. Manzanares. Consuegra. Toledo. Madrid. These are the eight cities in which Ruth Lorenzo performed twenty minute concerts in the space of twelve hours to set a new Guinness World Record.
The ‘Dancing in the Rain’ singer, who represented Spain in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, took to the road in her little pink van to complete the challenge in an effort to raise money for a women’s cancer research charity the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The roadshow, part of the Por Ellas campaign, began in Ruth’s home town of Murcia and finished up in the Spanish capital Madrid, taking in six other cities along the way.
Ruth Lorenzo has been linked to rumours that she may return to Eurovision in 2017 after a promise she had made a few years ago. More fuel has been added to the rumour flames as the singer has released new material just in time for the Eurovision selection season. Her latest song ‘Voces’ got a release last week.
