Irish singer Molly Sterling has confirmed on her Facebook page today that she will perform at Belfast Culture Night on Friday 16th September.
Molly, who represented Ireland in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with her song ‘Playing With Numbers’, will perform a short set in St. Anne’s Cathedral from 3pm, following a set from Neil Foster at 2pm.
Culture Night is an annual festival celebrating the best in local artistic talent with a variety of free events over the space of one evening in Belfast city centre. The events range from concerts, family fun activities, interactive and immersive arts activities, film screenings, visual art exhibitions, stand up comedy, street theatre and even wrestling and roller derby.
Culture Night will kick off at 1pm and run until 10pm, however this year some venues are opening earlier and some closing later. A range of local food and drink suppliers will be set up in Writers’ Square and Cathedral Gardens to cater for the thousands of people expected to attend. Public transport will run later than usual to accommodate culture vultures returning from the city centre and the full schedule of events can be found on the Culture Night Belfast website!
