Singer Saara Aalto, who finished second in the Finnish Eurovision selection show UMK last year, has progressed to the Boot Camp stage of X-Factor UK following her performance of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ in Sunday night’s show.
The X-Factor returned to ITV for its thirteenth series this weekend with judging panel Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osborne and Simon Cowell. Dermot O’Leary meanwhile has returned to present the show after a year’s absence.
Saara Aalto opened Sunday night’s show stating that she can sing ‘Let It Go’ from the Disney’s Frozen soundtrack in fifteen different languages. When she moved into the judging room, her rendition of ‘Chandelier’ was met with a great response from Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and her biggest champion Nicole Scherzinger, gaining three yes votes from the panel.
Scherzinger not only gave the ‘No Fear’ singer a standing ovation at the end of her performance, but also stated that ‘…you make we want to twerk. You make my bum want to clap for you’. You can catch the whole performance below. Let us know if you think she can go all the way.
