Albania seem unbeatable having topped our weekly poll an amazing eight times. However, this week we will do it all over again and for the last time. If you want to see your favourite song on top, then make sure you vote for them in this week’s poll. The poll will close on Sunday 8th May.
In the second of the semi final matches of the Eurovision World Cup we will see Austria take on Ireland. Austria’s Zoe topped group D with 32% of the vote, beat San Marino in the knock out stages with 76% and then last week conquered Greece with 60%. Ireland’s Nicky Byrne meanwhile also topped his group (Group F) with 63% of the vote, beat the Netherlands with 85% of the vote to advance to the Quarter Finals where they defeated Russia with 76% of the vote. But which of these two songs deserves a place in the Eurovision World Cup Final?
In the first of the semi final matches of the Eurovision World Cup we will see the Albania do battle against France. France were runners up in the group stage, were successful against Georgia in the knock out round and last week triumphed over Ukraine’s Jamala with 74% of the vote. Albania meanwhile topped their group (Group E) with 46% of the vote, beat Iceland in the knock out stage with 86% of the vote to advance to the Quarter Finals where they beat the UK’s Joe and Jake with 75% of the vote. But who will get your vote and advance to the Final?
It’s all becoming all too predictable in our weekly poll. On top, yet again, you’ve guessed it it’s Albania. Eneda Tarifa’s ‘Fairytale’ is coming true it would seem, having topped our poll for a pretty impressive eight times over the eleven weeks that we have run it so far. The song came out on top again this week with 78% of the overall vote. Bosnia/Herzegovina came in second again this week with 7% for ‘Ljubav je’, a collaboration between Dalal, Deen, Jala and Ana Rucner. In third was Russia’s Sergey Lazarev with ‘You Are the Only One’, while fourth and fifth place belonged to UK and France respectively.
