Nicky Byrne Ireland Eurovision 2016You have been voting in the knockout stage of our Eurovision World Cup Poll all week and now it’s time to reveal the results. Read on to find out which 8 countries have advanced to the quarter finals of the contest this week!

The United Kingdom’s Joe and Jake were triumphant over Poland beating Michal Szpak with 75% of the vote. They will now face off against Albania’s Eneda Tarifa who defeated Iceland’s Greta Salome in the previous round with 86% of the vote.

The second quarter final match will be contested between Russia’s Sergey lazarev and Ireland’s Nicky Byrne, who were successful against Armenia and the Netherlands in their respective matches last week.

France and Ukraine will do battle in the next round after Amir was successful against Georgia and Jamala’s ‘1944’ beat off competition from Denmark’s Lighthouse X.

The fourth match will see Austria’s Zoe face off against Greece’s Argo. They both advanced this week having beaten San Marino and Slovenia respectively.

Be sure to vote for your favourites in the quarter final matches. Only four will advance to the semi finals, with the results being revealed on Sunday.
