Romania hosted the final of Selecția Națională 2016 earlier this evening and have chosen Ovidiu Anton as their Eurovision participant. He will sing his song ‘Moment of Silence’ accompanied by what look like Game of Thrones extras, complete with sword dancing and overused smoke machines.
Ovidiu advanced from the semi final that was held on Thursday along with five other songs. This included Vanotek feat. The Code & Georgian who finished in second place, Florena who was third as well as Doru Todoruț feat. Irina Baianț, Dream Walkers and Mihai.
The song won with only a total of 6,585 public votes, while the song in second place had 4,702. What do you make of Romania’s choice? Does it put the nation in good stead to qualify from the semi final in Stockholm?
