Sanremo 2016: Night 3&4 Results

Sanremo Italy Eurovision 2016Tonight is the final night of Italy’s Sanremo song contest and is the culmination of a week long series of concerts in which twenty acts have competed in the Big Artists competition and tonight they will crown a winner.

Big Artists Contest

Earlier in the week the Big Artists category was whittled down to just 15 competitors, who will be joined by the winner of the Repechage contest which gives the five eliminated artists a second chance to compete. Below is the running order for tonight’s show:

Repechage Contest

Covers Night Results

On night three of the contest the singers competed in the cover version contest, with each act performing their version of a popular song in Italian. This was won by Stadio who covered Lucio Dalla’s ‘La sera dei miracoli’.

New Artists Contest

Sanremo also stages the ‘New Artists’ contest, which sees newcomers compete in a separate competition. The final of this contest took place on the fourth evening. The results are below:

Winner: Francesco Gabbani ‘Amen’
Second Place: Chiara Dello Iacovo ‘Introverso’
Third Place: Ermal Meta ‘Odio le favole’
