Melfest Show 2: Results!

David Lindgren Sweden Eurovision 2016Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s Eurovision Selection, continued tonight with the second show live from Malmo. Seven acts performed in this heat but there was only two spots in the final and a further two places for them to compete in the Second Chance Show.

Unlike last week’s show, Show 2 fell a bit flat. There were no stand out songs and it lacked the excitement of the first show. Presenter Gina Dirawi had to go it alone this week, due to a promotional contract mix up which meant Charlotte Pirelli had to step down as co-presenter and instead take on a guest performer role.

After the first round of voting Victor Och Natten’s ‘100%’ as well as mid-life crisis supergroup made up of Patrik Isaksson, Tommy Nilsson & Uno Svenningsson were given the boot.

Qualifying directly for the Final was David Lindgren with ‘We Are Your Tomorrow’ and Wiktoria with ‘Save Me’.

Meanwhile Isa and Molly Pettersson Hammar will be given a second chance to compete in the Andra Chansen show. In a shock result former Finnish entrant Krista Siegfrids was eliminated from the contest.
