Eurovizijos Show 5 Results: Which Two Acts Got the Boot?

Aistė Pilvelytė Lithuania Eurovision 2016Lithuania’s selection process is starting to become just a little bit tedious now. The phrase ‘flogging a dead horse’ comes to mind. The Eurovizijos Contest continued on the 6th February with its fifth live show and streamlined, straight forward and coherent are not words that we would associate with the show.

We were back again to the artists who had applied to the contest without their own song and the ten competitors were to be whittled down to eight. Yes that’s right folks, a show to rule out just two of the acts in the process!

The two acts that got the boot were Baiba with ‘May Day’ and Berta Timinskaite with ‘Stars in a Rainbow’. Meanwhile at the other end of the leaderboard Aiste Pilvelyte came top with ‘You Bet’ while Ruslanas Kirilkinas was in second with ‘In My World’.

We are still a long way from finding who will be the act going forward to represent Lithuania in 2016, as this will not be decided until the final show on 5th March. As well as the eight remaining acts from last night’s show, there are another eight acts who are still in contention who applied to the contest with their own song.
