Malta Semi Final Results!

Eurovision Malta 2016Last night Malta staged the first of their live shows in order to get one step closer to crowning the act and song that will represent them in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Twenty songs were in contention and each performer took to the MESC stage in the hope of getting chosen. Six of these acts were eliminated from the contest, while the other 14 continue on, and will perform in tonight’s final. Read on to find out the results.

 

The six acts that were eliminated following the results of the Semi Final show were:

Domenique Azzopardi- Empty Hearted

Danica Muscat- Frontline

Dario Mifsud Bonnici- I Love You

Stefan Galea- Light Up My Life

Sarah Crystal- Right Here With You

Ira Losco- That’s Why I Love You

Although Ira Losco’s ‘That’s Why I Love You’ was eliminated, she remains to compete in the contest with her second song ‘Chameleon’. Also still in contention is winner of our readers’ poll Jasmine Abela with her song ‘Alive’ and bookies’ favourite to win Maxine Pace with ‘Young Love’. The full list of qualifying songs is below.
