Nina Sublatti (Georgia)
Georgia’s Nina Sublatti has been a busy girl. Following on from her Eurovision success, the ‘Warrior’ singer has released a new album entitled ‘Locked Box’. This album has spawned a number of new singles including ‘You Call Me Devil’, ‘I’ve Got an Idea’ ‘Locked Box’. Check out her latest single ‘Heart Won’t Suck It’ above.
Polina Gagarina (Russia)
Despite receiving resounding boos at the live final of Eurovision 2015, Polina Gagarina managed to finish in second place. Since then she has propelled her career forward, releasing not only new hit song ‘I Will Not’ with a steamy video to accompany it, but she has also performed the closing song at the Fifa World Cup Draw for 2018 and will act as a judge on the next series of Golos (the Russian version of The Voice).
Loic Nottet (Belgium)
The Belgian entry for 2015 proved that he had a great voice, placing in fourth place and giving Belgium their best Eurovision result in over ten years. Not to be considered a one trick pony, Loic Nottet has turned his attention to dancing. He is currently competing in the sixth season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing against footballer Djibril Cissé, tenor singer Vincent Niclo and a host of other French celebs. To date he has performed very well scoring 31 out of 40 and finishing in second place in week 1. Let’s hope he can continue to get that rhythm back!
Some more new music now, this time from Latvia’s Aminata. Her new single ‘Bridges’ was released earlier this month and will be the follow up to her Eurovision song ‘Love Injected’. Perhaps the song’s title was inspired by the theme from this year’s Eurovision: Building Bridges? Probably not.
Guedj Nadav (Israel)
The more I listened to ‘Golden Boy’ the more I fell in love with Israel’s Guedj Nadav. When I heard that the 16 year old was to release a debut solo album, I could hardly contain my excitement. While we wait the official release date for the album, we will have to be content with Coca Cola endorsed song ‘Summer Together’ and new single ‘Good Vibes’.
Part Two of our Where Are They Now: Class of 2015 will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
