Predictions: Semi Final One!

Eurovision 2015 Estonia Stig Rasta Elina BornTonight sees the first of the Eurovision Semi Finals take place in Vienna’s Stadhalle Arena. As we gear up to go see it somewhere in Berlin, I thought it only appropriate to weigh in and say who I think will make it through to the final. Read on to find out my predictions.

Please note that the predictions below are not who I think should go through or which songs are necessarily the best song, but rather are the ones who I feel will be most popular with the national juries and the viewing public. For instance I love the Hungarian entry but feel as though it may be quite unpalatable for most of the viewers at home. Similarly while Denmark’s entry is one of my most despised songs this year, I feel that it will do well enough with the juries to see it progress to the final.

Will Qualify:

Armenia Genealogy “Face the Shadow”

Belgium Loïc Nottet “Rhythm Inside”

Estonia Elina Born & Stig Rästa “Goodbye to Yesterday”

Serbia Bojana Stamenov “Beauty Never Lies”

Belarus Uzari & Maimuna “Time”

Russia Polina Gagarina “A Million Voices”

Denmark Anti Social Media “The Way You Are”

Albania Elhaida Dani “I’m Alive”

Georgia Nina Sublatti “Warrior”

Greece Maria Elena Kyriakou “One Last Breath”

Will not Advance:

Netherlands Trijntje Oosterhuis “Walk Along”

Moldova Eduard Romanyuta “I Want Your Love”

Finland PKN “Aina Mun Pitaa”

Macedonia Daniel Kajmakoski “Autumn Leaves”

Hungary Boggie “Wars for Nothing”

Romania Voltaj “De la capăt (All over Again)”
