Official Eurovision App Available to Download


The official Eurovision App has been launched for fans to download and enjoy. The app launched on Thursday 30th April and has been developed in conjunction with technology partners for the contest Microsoft. For the first time the official app will be available to download for Windows phones and tablets and can be downloaded from the official app store or from the Eurovision website.

This is the fifth week of our Top 40 Poll to see which of the 40 songs from the class of 2015 are your favourites. There are some climbers this week with Australia, Serbia, Switzerland and Azerbaijan gaining quite a few votes, but who is on top? Read on to find out if your favourite made it into the top ten. And remember if it hasn’t, there is still time to change that by voting and helping your favourite climb to the top next week.

Estonia’s choice for Eurovision 2015 is the musical pairing of Stig Rasta (successful Estonian musician from bands Slobodan River, Traffic and Outloudz) and Elina Born (runner-up of the fifth season of Eesti otsib superstaari). The duo have joined forces to bring us the song ‘Goodbye to Yesterday’. Read on to find out what we made of the Estonian entry.

Eurovision 2015 Russia Polina Gagarina
Russia have recently, and rightfully so, been vilified at International events for their foreign policy actions in the Ukraine in the last year and a bit. They have also come under huge scrutiny for their policies at home which have encouraged savage beatings of gay Russians. Trivial as Eurovision may seem, some of these actions have had serious repercussions on the contest. For one, Ukraine have withdrawn from this year’s competition, with more pressing issues to deal with, following Russia’s invasion of the Crimea last year. Russia have also come under a lot of scrutiny from Eurovision fans for their policies at home, with fans booing Russia at every opportunity. This included when their 2014 entry, the Tomalchevy Sisters, performed at the semi final and final last year, but also when former winner Dima Bilan took to the stage at the 60th Anniversary Greatest Hits concert last month. It was interesting to see then who Russia would select as their Eurovision entry for 2015, how or if they would address these concerns. Read on to find out what we made of their 2015 entry.
