Selecţia Naţională, the Romanian Eurovision selection process saw twelve acts vie to be chosen for Romania for 2015 on Sunday 8th March. The winning act was Voltaj with song ‘De la capăt’ which received the most votes from a 50/50 jury/public vote split.
In second place was Luminiţa Anghel with ‘A Million Stars’ and in third was Ovidiu Anton with ‘Still Alive’. Voltaj will represent Romania in the first of two semi finals to be held in Vienna on the 19th May 2015. The Portuguese national selection was made on Saturday 7th March with the conclusion of Festival da Canção. The winning act chosen was Leonor Andrade with her song ‘Há um Mar que nos Separa’ (There’s a Sea Between Us). Andrade was chosen over five other finalists who had qualified from the two live semi finals which were held earlier in the week.
