The results are in from the last of the Melodifestivalen live shows before the final. The Swedish selection process saw eight songs given a second chance with four one on one battles which sent four acts through to the final and sent four acts home.
The first two acts to go through were Linus Svenning with his song “Forever Starts Today” (chosen over Andreas Weise) and Hasse Andersson’s “Guld och grona skogar” (chosen over Kristin Ampara).
In between vote counts we were treated to a medley of songs from Eurovision past from presenters Sanna Nielsen and Robin Paulsson, the debut of Loreen’s new song “Paperlights” and a ridiculous song from comic relief Philipa Bark.
Back to business and the final two act advancing to the finals were Dinah Nah “Make Me (La La La)” (beating Dolly Style) and Samir and Viktor with “Groupie” (finishing ahead of Behrang feat. Victor Krone).
Attention now turns to next week’s final which will see twelve acts compete to be Sweden’s Eurovsion pick. We reckon it will be Mans Zelmerlow. Do you agree? Let us know your thoughts by commenting below.
