Germany’s Unser Song Fur Osterreich Final took place tonight and after eliminating six acts in the first two rounds it was wildcard selection Ann Sophie’s ‘Black Smoke’ who would battle it out against Andreas Kummert’s ‘Heart of Stone’ for the win. Andreas Kummert was chosen as the winner, but in a shocking turn of events the singer decided to decline representing his country and withdrew his song from the competition after being announced the winner, much to the annoyance of the audience.
As it turns out, it will be runner up Ann Sophie’s song ‘Black Smoke’ that will be the German entry for 2015 and you can listen to the second place but winning song below. How do you feel about Andreas turning down Eurovision? Does it defeat the purpose of entering the competition? Has he tried to make a mockery of Eurovision? Let us know your thoughts below.
