Finland choose Perrti Kurikan Nimipäivät with “Aina mun pitää”


Finland have chosen Perrti Kurikan Nimipäivät with “Aina mun pitää” to be their representatives for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with the final of their selection process UMK coming to a head tonight.

The Finnish punk band whose members consist of middle aged rockers with learning disabilities caused a major upset fighting off stiff competition from favourites boy band Satin Circus whose song ‘Crossroads’ came in second and Opera Skaala whose ‘Heart of Light’ was third.

The search for the Finnish Eurovision entry has spanned over the last four weeks with three semi finals and tonight’s final and saw a total of 18 acts battle to follow in 2006 winner Lordi’s footsteps.
