Armenia have selected their Eurovision entry for this year’s contest with an unusual but interesting approach. They have decided to form a supergroup with a member from each continent (Africa, Asia, Europe, America and Australia) all of Armenian descent.
The band are called Genealogy and are made up of five artists who will symbolize the five petals of the forget-me-not flower. In their centre, the group will be unified by a sixth artist, who will be from Armenia. The idea is to unite a new generation of Armenians on stage whose families once spread all over the world in the year 1915.
The first member of the band will be revealed on 16th February and the band will perform the chosen song ‘Deny Me’. What do you think of the idea? Is it innovative or gimmicky? Letus know by commenting with your thoughts below.
