Giannis Karagiannis is Cyprus’ choice for Eurovision 2015

After months of searching for a representative, Cyprus has crowned Giannis Karagiannis as the winner of  the Eurovision Song Project and his song ‘One Thing I Should Have Done’ will be their choice for Eurovision 2015.

Karagiannis achieved the highest combined score from a jury panel of expert and public televotes and finished ahead of five other acts including Hovig, Doody, Panagiotis Koufogiannis, duo Charis Savva & Nearchos Evaggelou and the band Minus One. The choice comes somewhat as a shock as many had tipped Koufogiannis for the win.

Cyprus will compete in Semi Final 2 on 21st May alongside Czech Republic and Switzerland who also confirmed their acts this weekend as being Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta and Melanie Renee respectively.

The next country to choose their representative will be Denmark when Dansk Melodi Grand Prix comes to a head on Saturday 7th February.

    1. Out of the entries chosen so far my favourite is either Belarus or the Swiss entry chosen last night. Still early days though- hoping to see the triumphant return of Eric Saade for Sweden. Who is your favourite?

      1. I’m also waiting for him! But my favorite is Alexandra Joner from Norway, she is singing a song of my producer, I’m launching a song in March, so have to hope my producer wins! 😉
