Eurovision has launched the career of many pop greats, but some come to the competition with already some fame in the bag and this was the case in 2003 when Russian duo t.A.T.u took to Europe’s biggest stage. They didn’t manage to win, but nevertheless they impressed with song ‘Nye Ver, Nye Boysa’. You can listen to it below:

Austria’s Eurovision entry Conchita Wurst has been the subject of international headlines today following a transphobic backlash online. Wurst a.k.a. Tom Neurwirth will represent his country with his Bond-theme-esque ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ in Copenhagen in a fortnight, but he seemed to have ruffled a few feathers along the way.
